Bring ALDI supermarkets to New Zealand!

two major grocery suppliers does not bring competitive pricing. We need 3. There were 3 for a very short while(2001), then woolworths combined with foodstuffs. and, like petrol company's it is still a virtual monopoty

(Timaru, 2018-01-18)

#203

Aldi is great

(New Plymouth, 2018-01-18)

#204

Definitely Aldi would be so welcomed here, with a ready-made audience in most cases, customers having experienced Aldi in other Countries and liking what they find. Why not here? I'm sick to death of paying extortionate grocery bills every week! Ditto lack of choice! Competition is healthy! Aldi! Kindly make New Zealand a 'Healthy' Country! Thank You so Much.

#243

I want a fair good deal when I buy my groceries!!

(Nelson, 2018-06-08)

#244

I’m signing because I introduced Emily to Aldi when she visited us in Queensland, Australia. I’m always shocked at the very high prices for groceries in New Zealand. The supermarkets in NZ are a duopoly and they need real competition. Aldi is an international company that can give them that competition. Have a look at an online Aldi catalogue and you’ll see what I mean. The NZ suppliers need a shake-up too. It’s ridiculous that a country that produces so much at a primary resource level, is over-exporting and then charging export prices to it’s domestic market - especially given the low wage based economy there.

(Mount Mellum, 2018-06-08)

#245

#398

I actually joined Aldi for NZ in 2014 after returning to live here following 20 years in Australia. Just loved Aldi for their pricing and for all the homewares they would feature each week. Over the years I have purchased kitchen tools, bed linen and towels, garden tools, small electric barbeque, art and craft items etc etc all reasonably priced and quality. Many frozen vegetable items, tinned and packaged goods were made in NZ which were cheaper than here. Finally the German chocolate is second to none. Kiwis have been waiting too long for competitive prices so the sooner Aldi sets up here the better.

(Tauranga, 2019-02-06)

Moving to NZ and love aldi
