(Dublin, 2017-06-22)

We have often accessed this beach in the past, and note the ever-increasing denial of free access through traditional rights-of-way in North Donegal generally.

(STROUD, 2017-06-22)

In Wales we have the full access of the entire 870 mile coastline to walk on. (Wales Coastal Path)
It's something I'm very proud of and I think all countries should allow its citizens the right to walk its coastline.
Adds to tourism and would benefit the country as a whole.

Every time I visit Fanad the arch is the first place I will go to. It's my favourite place in the area and have brought a lot of friends to visit it, all of whom have been blown away by it's beauty.

I believe landmarks like this should remain available to be seen by public. As this has been by previous owner, absentee landlords have done enough damage in Ireland

#245

I feel access to Great Arch must me maintained.

(Fanad, 2017-06-22)

My favorite sea arch in Ireland. Disgraceful that people who only visit Ireland on holidays think they can block us from enjoying our beautiful coast.

This should be free for all to access

(Glasgow, 2017-06-22)

We hear so much about promoting tourism in this country, yet they allow this great tourist landmark in Donegal to be shut off to the public from Private owners.
There should have been proper access made to this site and the land taken over by the council or OPW.

(Convoy, 2017-06-22)

#277

Lets make the Arch great again.

(Fanad, 2017-06-22)

#287

You can't close off the beauty of Ireland

(Creeslough, 2017-06-22)

#297

It is a beautiful landmark that the public should be able to access as before.

(Glasgow, 2017-06-22)

#299

I was under the impression that if a right of way existed for 11 years or more it could never be blocked at any time in the future.

(London, 2017-06-22)

#302

As a local tourism provider (Portsalon Luxury Camping) I feel that it is important that both local people and visitors to the Peninsula have access to this site of incredible natural beauty.

(Portsalon, 2017-06-22)

#306

It should be available to locals and visitors

I'm a local person. Having had access to this wonderful place all my life. Would like to continue to bring my own family and friends....

(Dublin, 2017-06-22)

#313

The arch is a valued landmark in Donegal and it should not be suddenly restricted when it never has before.

(Letterkenny, 2017-06-22)

#323

I've been there and everybody should have access to this as it is a beautiful arch of geological interest and fantastic wildlife. Shocking that restrictions have been put there, seems a bit mean spirited!!

(Norwich, 2017-06-22)

#324

I'm a Donegal native and believe everyone should be able to fully enjoy my home county.

(Belfast, 2017-06-22)

It's ridiculous that natural beauty should not be available for people to enjoy particularly on the Wild Atlantic Way!

(Letterkenny, 2017-06-22)

#333

This beauty belongs to the people of donegal to go and enjoy.. why are we letting Americans have rights to our beauty

(Milford, 2017-06-22)

(Fanad, 2017-06-22)

#342

Rights of way should be maintained

(Dublin, 2017-06-22)

#350

I'm from Fanad and I feel blocking access to such a wonderful piece of our landscape / seascape is wrong. It's unfair to the local people and could be damaging to the tourist industry in Fanad.

(Glasgow, 2017-06-22)

#351

Natural landmark attracts tourism to Fanad.. why block access . It's not as if they built the Arch !!!

(Moate, 2017-06-22)

(Strabane, 2017-06-22)

#356

(Kerrykeel, 2017-06-22)

#358

I'm signing because my father, who was raised in Fanad, raised me to share. I'm sure the present property owners will be able to see the error of their ways once they understand the history of this public treasure.

(Seattle, 2017-06-22)

#360

Access to the Great Arch should be ensured for the enjoyment of all and not controlled by the few.

(Green Bay, 2017-06-22)

#371

It's been open to the public for as long as I've lived here and I don't believe anyone has the right to close off the right away.

(Doaghbeg, 2017-06-22)

#372

I'm part of the Coll family who live locally on pollaid road the Arch has always played a massive part of our heritage whilst growing up in Fanad over the last 40yrs during the summer months

(Bolton, 2017-06-22)

#373

I'm a photographer and local who always goes to the sea arch and am very annoyed to see it being blocked.

(Rathmullan, 2017-06-22)

#374

I have known the family who owned this land and they have always been happy to let the public use the rightaway. I believe it should be left open to the public in the future.

(Doaghbeg, 2017-06-22)

#378

I've been visiting the Great Arch on my regular visits to my family's homeplace for as long as I can remember. It's a site and a sight that brings great joy and pride in the beauty of Fanad. It also helped me learn about sea rock features for geography when I was in school! Preventing access to it is a tragedy for visitors and an insult to all of us who have a special place in our hearts for this iconic landmark.

(Dublin, 2017-06-22)

#389

It is time to stop the insider trading psychoses,

(Dublin, 2017-06-22)

#394

I own the arch. Bought it in the boom times!

(galway, 2017-06-22)

#397

Fanad is home and Pollad arch is one of my favourite peaceful places ...on earth. My family would be really upset if we didn't get to visit it a couple of times a year.

(Naas, 2017-06-22)

Ba cheart go mbeadh cead agus ceart ag muintir na hÉireann sult a bhaint as radharcanna ar chósta na hÉireann, rud a thugann turasóirí agus tacaíocht airgid isteach chuig na pobail áitiúla.

(An Srath Bán, 2017-06-22)

#400

A place of beauty and interest like this should be available for all to see.
