We need to support music, not suppress it

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#203

This is a city with musical heritage!

Don't let the terrorists win.

#208

Music is the reason to come to macon

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

I enjoy live music. I've been in 2 bands, and many of my friends are in bands in Macon and surrounding areas, and the noise ordinance is bunk. It gives people something to do. Without live music going on, there would be almost absolutely NOTHING to do in Macon. This is pitiful, and definitely needs to be changed. Downtown has always, at least as long as I've lived in Macon (my whole life), had live music going on at all times during the night, especially during the weekend.

(Macon, GA, 2016-12-01)

#215

I love music

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#220

How can Macon be Georgia's music town, when the artist are being restricted?

(Macon, Ga, 2016-12-01)

#221

I like live music and I'm a musician

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#224

Art is important. I'm sick of stuffy ass, Grinch faced people trying to silence us because they're miserable. That was dramatic. But really; let the music live!!!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#228

Keep the music filling the streets in downtown Macon, we are told Soul Lives Here, don't take the Soul away from us!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#229

I want lots of loud music downtown! We have it in Vineville and it is very important for the continued GROWTH of downtown Macon. Free Parking, too

(macon, ga, 2016-12-01)

#231

Music is everything and everyone trying to take it away SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#232

I'm a musician in Macon and our shows normally go past 11 and this will affect our ability to get shows. It's hard enough as it is.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#233

Putting a noise ordinance downtown will kill business and cripple the music scene.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#235

I'm signing because we need to keep the music alive in Macon! There's nothing like going to a bar or pub and getting to listen to a good live band.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#236

I'm signing because I support local music.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#241

Music matters

(Cochran, 2016-12-01)

#242

My family is big in the music scene in Macon and some of my closest friends front very popular and loved music projects

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#244

I'm signing because music shouldn't have a bed time.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#245

I've played Macon a dozen times and the sound ordinance is garbage. Don't be so "het off my lawn" Macon. The city prides itself on being a music town and you can't even stay up past a high schoolers bed time to enjoy it.

(Vermont, 2016-12-01)

#247

There is NO WAY it's sooooo loud downtown that it disturbs anyone. For years people have complained there is nothing to do in Macon & now there is! Why even push THIS issue when there is a whole lot more other problems that need attention!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#252

I'm signing because I love and support Macon artists and music!

(Acworth, 2016-12-01)

#253

I don't understand why anyone would want to destroy the only thing that brings large crowds to these bars.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#256

The music scene is one of the few things macon has to compete with atlanta for late night revenue

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#259

Music is the heart and soul of Macon.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#270

My grandsons are musicians

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#271

Music is the heart and history of downtown Macon. If you lose the ability to go and enjoy the many flavors of music that you can experience in the heart of the city is crucial to the renewal of what downtown Macon is trying to do

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#273

Macon's local music scene is the best I've ever seen or been a part of. Try not to ruin or stifle it.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#274

Music is Natural Medicine for the soul. Rock on Macon !!!

(Perry, 2016-12-01)

#278

Cutting off music that early will hurt businesses downtown. And it's stupid.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#279

The downtown district was knocked off her feet in the late 70's - when the Macon Mall opened. She's finally back up and dancing again. 9pm music curfew would be like putting her in a nursing home. Maybe just put a restriction on amplifiers, go acoustic w/music.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#280

I love the local music!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#281

I lived in Chattanooga for years and there were always musicians playing, on the street and in the restaurants. Makes things sooo nice.

(Forsyth, 2016-12-01)

#282

Hindsight and other local bands deserve a chance to be heard, and the people of macon deserve a chance to get away from the mundane.

(Atlanta, 2016-12-01)

#283

Macon is a city of music. Embrace it.

(Warner Robins, 2016-12-01)

#286

The downtown scene is gaining momentum! Don't slow it down!

(Warner Robins, 2016-12-01)

#287

I'm a musician that performs in Macon.

(Thomaston, 2016-12-01)

#291

I live in downtown and my family member makes a liveing playing here..want music as long as its at a reasonable volume

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#292

I am a musician from macon. I play in the band "hindsight". Over the past year me and other local musicians have watched the music scene grow in macon. It has opened so many doors and opportunites for us to bring life and fun back to macon. We have made amazing progress as a band over the last year ,that we never expected to make, with the help of macon and it's support of music. We plan to chase our dreams and make big moves while representing Macon, Ga. We hope to make our dreams come true with Macon's full support behind us. Limiting Macon's music scene would set macon back on all it's progress made over the last year.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#295

This is ridiculous and it will effect business and it WILL hurt Macon.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#301

I believe if you want to live downtown, you should have to adjust to the way downtown does business.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#304

As a Maconite I believe that Macon is foolish for allowing our history to be slowly taken away. Now taking away live music from Downtown is LUDACRIS!

(Panama city beach, 2016-12-01)

#305

Music is great. Don't be dumb.

(Warner robins, 2016-12-01)

#307

Music is what makes Macon so unique. You can find music anywhere, but here it's the heart of our city. Please do not take away the most detrimental aspect of our local community, especially as it feeds the families of many people who have been living here for years.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#308

Macon has finally turned its downtown area from a ghost town to a new town!!! These ridiculous curfews are only going choke out the vibrant community FINALLY blossoming after a ton of work and money put in by SO many people!!!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#309

Another dumb case of self entitled cry babies wanting the world to work their way and their way only. If you don't like the "noise" from downtown then your ass shouldn't live downtown. Walk on home, boy.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#313

I love Macon

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

I'm signing his petition because a wise man once told that if the music is too loud, then you're too old. Fight the power!! Bring the noise!

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#368

I love late night music

(Perry, GA, 2016-12-01)

#369

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#370

My band travels from Louisiana to play Macon.

(Natchitoches, Louisiana, 2016-12-01)

#373

It's for entertainment, will better the economy, visitors, & give this city a better reputation... If people dont wanna hear the music where they live, they can always move where it's less noisy. Musicians that's make a living performing don't have that option.

(Macon, 2016-12-01)

#379

I love live music and Macon is a live music city among other things. love music and the late night sceneare why so many people love living here and love visiting here.

(macon, 2016-12-01)
