The impact and effects of advertising via the HM government have already had severe, damaging effects on my family, those closest to me, and many that I know. Due to the rampant, fear-based propoganda, mental health has been hit drastically, for some beyond repair due to the unnecessary amount of funding that's gone towards advertising built to just paralyse and terrify many. It needs to be withdrawn, properly critiqued and risk checked and not released ever again.

I’m signing because the government should be held accountable for spending millions of taxpayers money in false claims that could have went towards the nhs who we are all on lockdown for so we don’t overwhelm or put pressure on. They have paid celebrities and social media influencers to push the stay at home message while they travel to Dubai for holidays whilst telling us to stay at home. I’m signing this because I am someone with mental health issues, and being bombarded with images of people dying on advertisements when leaving the house to work, to shop, on my phone or on tv, it’s too much. I don’t like the way the ads are depicted to be scary with the filtered skin & camera angles of the faces & messaging which is to make people feel guilty for living! As if we don’t have enough to cope with.

I was sitting on the underground, then an elderly lady got on and Sat directly opposite me. She tried reading the paper, and I noticed one of the pages titled "Look her in her eyes" with a picture of a woman on a ventilator. I looked the frail, elderly lady in the eyes, but she could barely keep them open. Likely because she can't breathe in her mask and I wondered how lonely she might be. This sick propaganda plastered everywhere needs to stop. The one of people kissing with their faces completely covered and masks on, captioned 'We really need to see less of eachother' it's sick. My mental health is suffering greatly due to inaccurate information being thrown about recklessly and without merit, by the UK government. This has to stop. It feels as though they are doing it deliberately. I am signing because of the false advertising aimed at creating fear around influenza aka Covid-19. Falsifying death certificates, falsifying the numbers of deaths. The false positives COVID tests are producing. And I have many more reasons in regards to the mess the government have created by ruining people’s lives especially small businesses, when Tesco is rammed packed? Masks are creating more sick people by restricting breathing in fresh air, instead bacteria equaling more respiratory illness - obviously, COVID symptoms, so they must stay at home and isolate. Causing depression, fear and more deaths from depression. Track and trace....useless and again making saying you must stay at hone you have been in contact with COVID-19 when they are not ill? And asymptomatic is just another reason to impose all of the agenda. The vaccine, doesn’t stop you from getting COVID or spreading COVID so what does it do? What is the point? The hospitals are not overcrowded they just have less staff either furloughed or told to self isolate. I am sick of the lies it’s as simple as that.

The advertisements have been edited in such an excessive way that they depict a very shocking and seemingly unrealistic image of 'people with the virus'.
The images have an apocalyptic appearance, focused on the eyes of the individual, with a caption obviously designed to inflict extreme fear and guilt. The colours have also changed from the common NHS branding of blues and white to the extreme red and yellow tones we are now seeing, another obvious concept to subliminally inflict alarm.
These adverts have infiltrated aspects of my social media. Snapchat being the most affected for myself. They are a timered advert that you are not able to skip. The only choice is to allow them to impose on the posts you intended to view, several times, or exit the media all together. This is forceful and unnecessary. This particular social media is an 'escape' from a heavily burdened 'real word' and a very popular way to stay social now that pmbeing physically social is not encouraged. I find the intrusion of such dramatic images to be completely disdainful and insulting.
My personal impact is that this is emotionally and morally detrimental to people around me that are easily influenced but have no choice to be out in the real world earning their living or shopping for supplies. These people that follow all of the guidelines but are still overwhelmed with the possibility that they could make another human sick, or them selves, to the extent of the images that they are being forced on them. I personally feel that there is enough information to be found on the NHS or .gov.uk websites and on the windows and walls of businesses, encouraging people to follow guidelines and keep everybody safe, in a respectful, responsible and unharmful manner. The highly edited and absurd nature of these advertisements lack integrity and intentionally place pressure and blame on the vewer.
The British public need consistent, realistic, civilised and factual transparency to make informed and healthy decisions regarding their own safety and the safety of others - Not induced fear and heightened conflict to coerce people into a narrative that authorities and the government have a hard time backing or following themselves.
