Since I retired and have been able to play golf regularly, I have made a point of playing at Cleeve Hill whenever I can for the challenge of the course and for the wide-ranging views. I am signing because I routed last year's edition of our group of ten players' annual golf tour which took us onto 19 courses within 10 days over Cleeve Hill and fully agree with the statement of the course's uniqueness. Cleeve Hill epitomizes the "golf course culture" which has drawn us annually to go play in the UK for more then a decade now. I hope that there will be another chance to play at Cleevehill in the future.Roland Schissau

Cleeve hill golf club enables golfers of all levels to access the sport without having to join expensive (and often exclusive) clubs. The quirkinesses of the course is is a legendary challenge and course maintenance helps ensures that people other than the wardens keep an eye on the condition of the hill too. The traditional and attractive club house is the only place of refreshment and shelter for other visitors.Sue Teggert (Winchcombe , 2020-10-31)

As a teenager, I learned to play golf at Cleve Hill in 1960. I visited the course again in 2008 but the course management had changed but I did get to walk the commons. My father was a club champion in the early 1960s. He won both the Lister and the Turnbull cups.Jeffrey Ford (Annapolis, 2020-11-15)

Even if the current club house is sold, the course can still be viable

I lived in Cheltenham for 4 years (‘15-‘19). Played countless times up on the hill. It’s world class. One of a kind. British golf will be worse without this course around. Save it, please!!!Jon Calder (Portland , 2020-11-15)

I'm signing because not only will it be a shame to remove all of the history of this club but I have not long found out that this club is part of my family history. Liam Whelan has his own tournament named after him and he is my grandfather. He passed away long before I was born but it would mean so much to be able to connect with him via a mutual passion. Thanks,Jacob Townsend (Cheltenhm, 2020-11-17)

I played often on Cleeve Hill when learning golf as a teenager. Four decades later, after playing many other sports, I've picked up golf again and sampled some of Britain's world famous links courses. The Cleeve Hill experience is closer to that standard than many imagine. With a little investment, publicity and marketing, it could easily become massively popular and a significant tourist attraction for the area, as well as a great amenity for the locals.Andrew Barr (High Wycombe, 2020-11-30)

This is a fantastic outdoor space for mixed activities and interests including golf. There is plenty of space for all.Aside from stunning views and natural landscapes the corse features the worlds oldest man made feature on a golf course (forte on the 13th green).
I moved away from the area some years ago but revisit as often as I can as do some of my golf friends from London.
