Stuck in WA isolating for 2 weeks in a $860 air bnb while others roam around risking my WHV to be dismissed and sent home. Cant move to farms, everybody lost jobs within the city facing Mining as my last option which is quite a stressful, exhausting job. Money is running fast now and no chance to fly back with a cheap flight risking cancellations and not getting the money back (only a voucher which is eligible for a couple of months). Cant get financial support from germany due to being in Australia.
Thanks for taking WHV into consideration to maybe have early and full access to their superannuation.

International students need help along with Australian residents because we all work to pay for our fees (most of us working pay cheque to pay cheque) and work to live in this country. We pay tax, super, we contribute to the economy, travel and tourism. Colleges and Universities will suffer as students will have no choice but to return home. Students already struggle to pay their way with fees and rent being highly expensive, so this will be extremely impactful and will determine their future in this country.

I am signing because I am a trainer of international students - there are approx 350,000 in our country who normally generate $40 billion per year of income for Australia...we need to repay their generosity NOW

I spent two years in Australia on a working holiday visa and it was the best experience of my life. A situation like this would have ruined it for me and I hope all the hard work visa holders have contributed to Australia over the years holds some standing and they show their appreciation by supporting them through this hard time.

Because I have lost my job, my sponsorship and there is no flights home to the Uk! I got let go with not even one days notice! We came over here to support the gap in the market and we have all worked hard and paid our taxes and earnt the right to have some help with our living, if we don’t sort this then I will become homeless.

As a casual worker I have seen my income disappear due to the corona virus pandemic. Many other temporary visa holders will be in the same situation. We pay taxes in Australia, yet we get no benefits from government when we lose our income.

Cristobal Albarracin (adelaide, 2020-03-27)

Thousands of temporary visa people pay taxes in this Country and are now struggling, the U.K. Government and Australia should work out a deal together for their citizens stuck in both countries.

Alexandra Willard (Melbourne, 2020-03-27)

#2578

I'm signing because I have been leaving and working in this country for more than 4 years, fullfilling every single responsibility, paying my taxes and adding my job, effort and energy to the economy of this country. I feel that the least that the government could do, is to return the hand in any way possible. Already I will loose so much money from my supper (getting only 30%) of everything that I have gathered, and now due to this worldwide situation, don't have a possiblity to pay rent and live.
I understand we are not residents, but we are active members of the función of the country. Don't forget that we are the ones paying ridiculous amounts of.money for studying visas and we are the ones doing every single job that Australians don't want to do 🙏💚

The government was seeking for help due to the bushfires and a lot of us helped and now is it the other way round. Now they should help us. Their economy is depending in some way from us backpackers so don't let us down.
