I am signing because I feel that its unfair to those students who are unable to do a license after completing their studies to not get employed because they cannot affrord it. It is also unfair that each year Social Development grant internships to those students who were funded by them and put the other social workers last because they were not their bursary holders. It also seems as if social workers are not taken seriously in South Africa hence the unemployment rate of social workers.

Thee work that social workers do in the community is undermined by government. The focus is mainly on social welfare and not social development. We are game changers as social workers.
