Restoration of András Sinkovits-Vitay as Hungarian dubbing actor of Wolverine

In Hungary, a professional voice actor with a very distinctive voice, András Sinkovits-Vitay, has been the Hungarian voice of Hugh Jackman in 8 films in 24 years. For the dubbing of the movie Deadpool & Wolverine, which will be released on 24 July, the production studio Disney held a casting and at the end of the casting process another actor was chosen as the Hungarian voice of Rozsomák.

We appreciate Disney's commitment to quality and all Hungarian film fans appreciate that Disney productions are always presented to Hungarian audiences with quality dubbing. We appreciate Disney's commitment to quality, but we believe that continuity is crucial for fans who have grown accustomed to Sinkovits-Vitay's distinctive voice.

Yet in this case we would like to ask the Disney film company to make an exception and break the dubbing rules they have set themselves.

We, Hungarian fans would ask Disney not to take away our favourite voice! For us, Wolverine and Hugh Jackman are one and the same with András Sinkovits-Vitay. If someone else dubs this character, it will feel to the ears of Hungarian fans as if Hugh Jackman is not playing this character, and the film experience of Hungarian fans will be affected, and not in the right way.

Please give the character back the dubbed voice that Hungarians are used to. András Sinkovits-Vitay!
