Justice for Leezandre Taaibosch
Leezandre Taaibosch, a 31-year-old mother and breadwinner who lived in Wesbank, Kuilsriver was brutally killed on 1 August 2023 by her ex boyfriend. She was beaten and stabbed multiple times on different occasions on this day until she succumbed to her injuries. her three minor children must now all grow up without a mom because the perpetrator thought he had the right to end her life, because she dicided to end a very toxic relationship. The perpetrator hunted her down when she managed to escape from him after being beaten several tmes on the day. The perpertrator was arrested and is currently in custody. His bail application will be heard in the Blue Downs Court on Monday 14 August 2023. The perpetrator has a previous conviction of murder, was currently out on bail and this clearly shows that he is beyond rehabilitation. Granting him bail will put other women’s lives at risk as his violent tendencies never ended. We are astonished by the arrogance by yet another perpetrator who feels he had the right to decide over life whilst Monique will never see the daylight again. Like many others he has no respect for life. We do not want to see him being released on bail and get to roam the streets whilst his victims were not afforded a change to life free of violence and fear. Their families are secondary victims as they must face the perpetrators who keep coming back to the same communities. We are tired, we say no more. We will protest at every court case making sure perpetrators do not get bail and that they get the sentences that fits the crime. Only then will women feel we are heard. If the perpetrator was not granted bail Leezandre might have still been alive.
Enough is Enough We want justice for Leezandre Taaibosch!
