Unfair and genuinely biased.A ploy by the multiple churches in the area to close dows this 1 place of worship.

Our constitution upholds religious freedom. Lets us as South Africans uphold our constitutional rights and practice freedom of religion.

I voted for freedom. Freedom from all forms of oppression, freedom of religion.

jhb mayoral commitee should do their homework before denying facts. May Allah mercy be upon the Ummah.

When youngsters drive around with blaring music no one stop them so why a call to good should be stopped?

You know there must have been someone or somebody involved in this, come on no one in there right mind will just come from the City of Johannesburg and issued a letter of demand .

All religions had freedom in South Africa!!!Where does this come from? All religions should be allowed to practice freely.This type of ban is why our youth and society are don't practice or care about religion. Western lifestyle is taking over!!....Sad:(

It is absurd that they do not want to allow our call to prayer. It goes against our democratic right of freedom of religion. Churches are allowed to ring their bells.

I support this as long as the Muslim community is considerate too and plays their azaan at a reasonably tolerable level for most people in the immediate vicinity of the mosque, especially in the fijr prayer time. In Ramadaa, limit the call to the Azaan only.

I am a resident in Riverlea and have been for over 30 years.
We have religious freedom and tolerance in Riverlea, lets not forget that the Riverlea community was not approached in any way concerning the noise levels. Please lets not make this a Christian / Muslim fight because at this stage no one knows who complained to the City of Johannesburg.
