Doncaster Road Traffic/Crossing (Oakhill Primary Academy area)

Some thing needs to be done about the road out side Oakhill School. There has not been a school crossing patrol for over a year, school runs are becoming very daunting and has become very scary trying to cross the road during drop offs and pick ups. The traffic is busy and cars often speed and not many stop to let people cross. My opinion is, it needs a crossing patrol, some one from the council to do this job twice a day or a crossing.

Child safety is priority

Safety of our children must come 1st

Because my child attends this school and her safety is at risk

I signed this because I use this road everyday to cross with my children I've seen accidents near deaths pulled kids n patents back its so bad n scary for both kids and us as parents please please sort it before we loose one of our loved ones Thankyou x

Because my children go to this school n couldn't bare the thought of anything happen in to them or any parent grandparent or child

It's long over due. Having no patrol on a busy dual carriageway is ridiculous. And action should be taken. Some schools have traffic calming schemes or pelican/zebra crossings and a patrol!!

Cos my nephew goes to that school

Act now before its too late!

Something needs to b done I av on several occasions had to literally drag my 2 children back and they both have been very close to getting hit
Also why is it a 40mph past a school when everywhere else it is 20mph some thing needs to b done before something serious happen x

Because my grandson goes to that school and there something need to be done with the road before a child or a child parent get knocked over

It is incredibly dangerous and we need to keep the children safe.

I have friends with children attending there. It's an accident waiting to happen ............

Because I value my child's life, my own and all those who dodge the fast moving traffic each day on this treacherous dual carriageway. It's gone on long enough now and changes need to be implemented before it's too late. It's only a matter of time before the unthinkable happens.

For the safety of my brother/ mum / friends and all other pupils/parents/grandparents/guardians at the school

Because my Grandchildren's lives are at risk every day, crossing this busy dual carriageway to school with no crossing wardens or zebra crossing.

My children go to this scool and it is for their safety I'm concerned for

Its an extremely busy road and to have no school patrol is horrendous. It is not safe at the best of times. Some sort of crossing for residents could be a bit better too.

You need a crossing guard or at least a traffic light to help on these busy streets where crossing is mandated to get to school. Safety is a priority no matter what country the school is in - I can't believe in this day and age the City/State/Government would put lives at risk because they don't want to fix something.

Not my childs school but think Ardsley Hill is nightmare anytime never mind for school kids. Evety school should have a crossing patrol. Sych a shame Barnsley has taken several out. My daughters school doesnt have one but its not a main route like this very dangerous road. Why should it take lives to be lost to put someone back in to help them cross. 1 life is too much......

Because children and adults matter.children are our future..

I signed as I have many family & friends that attend this school and we are in need of some form of safety measures.
