Traffic lights between Barton Road & the A580 Lancaster Road

my heart goes out to michelle and rob and the parents of amy can't even begin to imagine what they are going through

There is an urgent need for speed camera's on this stretch of the East Lancashire Road, from Eccles Road to Lancaster Road. There are speed cameras at every juntion towards Worsley and Boothstown. A few years back following the death of a young teenager at the top of Lancaster Road, we asked for a speed camera at the top of Lancaster Road, and was told it was not possible as there was a speed camera down Lancaster Road? This stretch of road is extremley dangerous! We live on this stretch and have witnessed many cars and motor bikes speeding along here. Good Luck with this petition. The east lancs has seen too any tragedies. The loss of these two in such tragic circumstances should not be in vane!

Traffic lights need to be considered NOW while the new road layout changes are happening to save potentially digging up the same stretch of road twice!!

As a former Salford resident of more than 30 years I know just how dangerous a crossing this is having seen several near misses as well as the out come of other accidents. It's disgraceful that the authorities do not take the public's safety more seriously.

Sad loss of life and could very easy have been avoided if lights were there's RIP to 2 innocent kids who had their lives ahead of them , taken away in such awful tragic circumstances xx

We also need speed cameras at every set of lights to ensure these selfish mindless people don't just race anyway because they deem the road to be clear enough to do so. Rest in peace Aaron and Amy, young lives taken too heartbreakingly soon.

Another two lives lost - something needs to be done!

It is sad that a tragedy like this has to happen to get salford to get off there back side and finally do something about that road. I live on Lancaster road and hate it when I have to use it and reducing the speed limit was a joke like anybody takes any notice. They still speed along it and use mobile phones which annoys me where are the police when you need to catch them . I hope your petition is successful and will get family and friends to sign this petition.

This junction is a nightmare. If you observe the speed limit of 40 miles hour when yiou get on to the east lancs from barton road you are greetied with v signs, flashing car headlights and beeping horns not to mention agressive driving as you are overtaken by impatient drivers. Traffic lights would slow these drivers down and give drivrrs and pedestrians a chance

I agree traffic lights are needed

This needs to be sorted and quick we have now lost two wonderful,loving, caring people because of idiots on this road lets help prevent it happening again things need to change and now. If this is the only way that things will get changed then keep sharing and getting more people to sign the more we have the more chance we have of something changing about it please help!!

These traffic lights are seriously needed
