Copper Coast School Holiday Activity Program Committee

Fun for all!!! We all know there isn't much to do, especially indoors during the school holidays. School Holiday programs are desperately needed in the Copper Coast community. Not just for tourists during the holiday season , more importantly for local residents with children. 

I am collecting signatures to submit this petition and a report to the council. The council is being asked to approve to put together a volunteer organisation committee for the school holiday activity program and for the council to fund (provide a financial budget) per school holidays to offset some of the costs involved to assist in keeping admission costs low for families. 

Communiy feedback would be required if this was to proceed (a survey distributed) to gather further e information, ideas, request etc as to what people would like to see for the program. 

Some initial ideas:

Reptile shows

Magic shows

Bubble shows

Daytime discos

Mini dance workshops

Messy/sensory play

Indoor sport/large giant game setups

Outdoor movie nights 

Beach fun day/s

Family fun day/s

Circus 

Family friendly live music at parks instead of pubs

...And much more
