Ban Belieber Bullies
If you've been on Twitter or Instagram, you may have seen a tweet or two, (or a thousand depending on who you follow on those social media outlets) from a particular fan base, that has downright disturbed you. Children aged 10-18 telling people to "die", "get cancer", using derogatory hate speech, swearing, and threatening the lives and well being of others. And why you may ask? For stating their opinions. Not for being mean, malicious, or hateful, but simply using their right to post their opinions. In some cases their attacks are simply directed for whom the person is dating or awards the person has won.
I'm talking about the Beliebers. In the age of Cyber Bullying, these kids take the cake. They have verbally attacked celebrities and their fans regularly. One Direction, Drake Bell, Selena Gomez, Olivia Wilde, Patrick Carney, Esperanza Spalding, and Eric Dickerson are just a few celebrities who have fallen victim to these bullies. They've even gone as far as to attack the charity The Thirst Project because it is backed by Bell. Their attacks on the fans of these celebrities are just as bad if not worse.
What's worse is Justin Bieber encourages their behavior instead of trying to put an end to it. He tells his Beliebers to "Go hard", has tweeted that Carney should be slapped, and had even enlisted the help of his friend Lil Twist to threaten Bell.
The time has come to put an end to this. We are asking Twitter and Instagram to help us by showing these kids there are consequences for their actions. We are also asking for Justin Bieber himself to put an end to this. He needs to tell his Beliebers to STOP. He needs to encourage them to stop bullying in his name. Help us get them blocked from these social media outlets for their horrendous crimes against humanity. Belieber Bullying needs to be stopped, today!
